GED/Literacy Program

 Our vision is to see our community improve in several areas including educational status, employment skills, fluency in English, and personal wellbeing.

To bring that vision into a reality, we provide adults in the South Philadelphia area with support from our trained tutors on issues of literacy through expansion of basic life skills, G.E.D. preparation, and development of English language.

We are tutors trained through the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy. In the following areas:

        ·       Basic Education for Adults

·       G.E.D. Preparation

·       English as a Second Language

We have clearances from the Department of Public Welfare for PA Child Abuse and the Pennsylvania State Police for PA Criminal Records.

MECO Literacy & G.E.D. Tutors are prepared to assist our community with their literacy needs. We are committed to providing the best experience and encourage constant communication for each learner.
